The next day Osborne observed, “Our day started off just liked we had hoped with big fish biting right at gray light. We had another cow on the deck with the sunrise and then another nice one just under the mark. There are also some "filler fish" in the 40 to 60-pound range and some small grade that we released, but around 9 a.m. everything just vanished. We stuck it out for a bit before we took off looking for more sign. We didn't find much for the rest of the day except some troll fish, mostly smaller Tuna and a bonus Wahoo this afternoon. The evening bite never came and left us no option but to head out looking for better action.”
Ridge Tuna

Last Days

“We started working up this morning after 40 small tuna on another ridge spot and no Wahoo. Trolling our way up now and will be at Cedros tomorrow for a few Yellows in the morning and then maybe a little Bass fishing. Baitmaking and then we’ll be offshore for the finale.”
The Searcher’s Find

The next day Searcher’s report said, “We finished our trip today looking for yellowfin tuna. We had just a few jigstikes and baitfish today. We had hoped for some more action but it was a long time between stops, with choppy conditions in the morning and then calm seas for the ride home. We are grateful for that. Great group of people, lots of fun was had by all. The crew and I are still getting used to only having 14 people aboard. When you are stopped and fishing, you still say to yourself "Where is everybody?" and the whole group is on deck! These trips are relaxed and low key. If you haven't tried one of these ultra limited load trips I would recommend it. There is really a lot of room on deck and throughout the boat. Looking forward to the next one.”
