“Everything must change, and Clarion is doing just that. We looked near and far, and it looks very bad. So we are making a move, we are headed for Hurricane bank. For our efforts we landed 3 Yellowfin and 17 Wahoo. So with two full days to fish, we are hoping for better results once we arrive to Hurricane. The weather also made a change, with 18 to 22 knots out of the northeast, slight overcast, and warm. We should have a good ride to the bank, and our weather should improve as the days go.”
Ball ‘O Yellows

“This morning started out rather slow. We anchored a shallow in the dark and found no current. After daylight we moved and checked some shallow water areas, picking up two small yellows and a short halibut (released). We returned to our original reef to find just a trickle of current and saw a nice ball of yellows. We waited them out for about 30 minutes before getting the first bite. Then they hit us and hit us hard. For the next two hours we had great fishing. Fish were eating the surface iron, the live bait and the yo-yo jig. When the dust settled we had landed 85 nice yellows from 20 to 30 pounds. What a great way to end the trip!
“Glenn Pamaran gets the honors today. He took these two nice yellows while keeping all of the Shimano test gear in perfect working order. He is a great representative for Shimano and a joy to fish with. We will be in tomorrow and tied up for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Tim will be back at the helm on Sunday for the Let's Talk Hook Up 12-day adventure.”
In The Mail

“How's it going?
“Here are a couple of fish I caught at Pyramid Lake, just north of Reno, NV.
“The dark red fish is a Summit cutthroat, 8.5 pounds, 27 inches long
“The silver trout is a Pilot Peak cutthroat, 10.18 pounds, 29 inches long

“This fishery has gotten stronger and stronger since they reintroduced the original strain (Pilot Peak) of cutthroat back in the lake approximately seven years ago!
“Last spring NV fish and game counted 70-plus fish that had gone up the Truckee River to spawn. This has not happened since 1938. What a miracle! This is a great story!”
